ARCS CONFERENCE - October 25-26

The American Research Center in Sofia is hosting a conference, October 25-26, "Communication and Commerce from Alexander the Great to Alexander Battenberg". Twenty-two scholars from Bulgaria, the USA, Republic of Macedonia, Serbia and Poland will present papers at ARCS. The sessions of the conference focus on marketplaces and commodities of trade, communication, language and law, and rivers and roads.
A highlight will be the opening of an exhibition at the National Archaeology Museum on Roman Commerce curated by Eric De Sena. ARCS is very grateful to Prof. Lyudmil Vagalinski and Dr. Maria Reho for facilitating the organization of the exhibition.
