Constantine, Sirmium and Serdica: symposium in Sremska Mitrovica, Serbia

The History Department of University of Novi Sad, with sponsorship by the City of Sremska Mitrovica, will host a one-day symposium: Constantine, Sirmium and Early Christianity. ARCS Director, Eric De Sena, has been invited by Prof. Michael Werner (University at Albany, SUNY) to present a keynote lecture regarding the role of Constantine the Great in the territory of modern Bulgaria and, specifcally, his presence in Serdica. The symposium will be held on June 20 in the City Hall of Sremska Mitrovica (ancient Sirmium) and is a component of the Republic of Serbia's celebration of the 1700th anniversary of the Edict of Milan.
