International workshop. Religion and the Public Sphere: Interdisciplinary Approaches

Sofia University’s Centre for the Study of Religions is organizing an international workshop, July 2-5 within the research project Religion and the Public Sphere: Interdisciplinary Approaches. The workshop is led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Simeon Evstatiev, Department of Arabic and Semitic Studies and funded by the National Science Fund at the Bulgarian Ministry of Education and Science. ARCS is hosting the workshop on July 3 and 4.

The academic community is invited to a lecture by Prof. Dr. Dale F. Eickelman, Dartmouth College (USA), “Islamism and Governance after the Arab Spring”.

The lecture will be delivered on Wednesday, 3 July, 2013 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in New Conference Hall of Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski, 15 Tsar Osvoboditel Blvd.
