On Sunday, June 14, 2014, the American Research Center in Sofia (ARCS) will host a Bulgarian community event in Chicago, under the patronage of Mr. Simeon Stoilov, Consul General of the Republic of Bulgaria in Chicago. The lecture is entitled: "With Memory for the Past & and Hope for the Future. Shared Heritage". During the event, one of ARCS most recent publications will be presented: “Memories of everyday life during Socialism in the town of Rousse, Bulgaria” by Dilyana Ivanova, and the new website developed by ARCS: “Immigrant’s Suitcase. Virtual Museum of Bulgarians in North America”. Since the audience is expected to be mostly Bulgarian or people with Bulgarian origin, the language of the event will be Bulgarian.
