Round Table, “The Edict of Milan and its Context,” OCT 25, 10:00-17:30.
04 Oct 2013
To commemorate the 1700th anniversary of the “Edict of Milan”, ARCS will host a Round Table, “The Edict of Milan and its Context,” organized by the Orbita Byzantina Foundation, October 25, 2013. The “Edict of Milan”, overseen by Constantine the Great, was one of the earliest decrees to legalize Christianity and to return confiscated property to Christians in the Roman Empire. It is fitting that Sofia should host such a Round Table, since a similar edict was proclaimed by the emperor Galerius in 311. The Round Table is open to the academic community, October 25, 10:00-17:30.
ARCS is located in the Hadji Dimitar district of Sofia at 75 Vasil Petleshkov Str.
