The American Research Center in Sofia will host an international conference on the Town and Country in the Byzantine World on May 7-8. Organized by ARCS Post-doctoral Fellow, Dr. Pavel Murdzhev (Santa Fe College), the conference will bring together a group of leading scholars from Bulgaria, Republic of Macedonia, Greece, Georgia, Poland, Hungary, Czech Republic, Germany, Great Britain and USA to discuss the latest trends in the field of Byzantine studies. The keynote address will be delivered by Prof. Florin Curta (University of Florida).
